The second expansion pack for Nemo's War, Bold and Caring, brings two exciting new motives for Captain Nemo: Adventure and Humanist. For seasoned players, each motive offers a whole new gaming experience! With the Adventure motive, every Lull Turn gives you 2 Actions and places a new Adventure token in the just - rolled 'doubles' Ocean. When the Nautilus successfully searches at that Ocean, you get to reveal and place the Adventure token, then go on quests for big rewards. Start with the new Nautilus Upgrade card, Diving Apparatus. It helps with all Test rolls when you spend 2 Actions and keeps the Adventure Deck stocked with gemstones. The Humanist motive makes Captain Nemo want to improve the common people's situation. You might start with the Hospital Machines Upgrade card and use 'Diplomacy Attacks' to parley with sea ships. Despite the issue of Notoriety gains, successful diplomacy offers three options: Further Diplomatic Relations, Create a Diplomatic Incident, or Gather Support for Your Good Intentions. Incitement cubes turn into 'Goodwill cubes,' and the more nations you parley with, the higher bonus score you can earn. The pack includes 2 Nautilus Upgrade Cards (Diving Apparatus and Hospital Machines), 1 New Motive Tile (Adventure / Humanist), 4 New Treasure Tokens, 1 Diplomatic Attack Token, 9 Adventure Tokens, and 1 Rules Sheet. Note: You need to own Nemo's War Second Edition to enjoy this Expansion Pack.
How to use: First, make sure you have Nemo's War Second Edition. Then, add the components from this expansion pack to your game. When playing with the Adventure motive, during each Lull Turn, take 2 Actions and place an Adventure token in the 'doubles' Ocean. When the Nautilus searches that Ocean successfully, reveal and place the token and start your adventure quest. Use the Diving Apparatus card as described to help with Test rolls. For the Humanist motive, start with the Hospital Machines card if you get it and use 'Diplomacy Attacks' to interact with ships. After a successful diplomacy, choose one of the three available actions. Attention: You must own Nemo's War Second Edition to play with this expansion. Maintenance: Keep the cards and tokens in a dry and clean place. You can use card sleeves to protect the cards from wear and tear.
