Play alone for a solo challenge or compete with friends. The game comes with 113 cards (including bird, hybrid bird, and publication cards), 5 player mats, 31 insect punchboard tokens, and 1 scorepad. It's suitable for 1 - 5 players aged 13 and above, with a playing time of 25 - 60 minutes.

To play the Birdwatcher game, first, set up the game by laying out the 5 player mats. Each player gets a mat. Shuffle the 113 cards (bird cards, hybrid bird cards, and publications) and place them in the appropriate places. Grab the 31 insect punchboard tokens and the scorepad. Now, each player tries to attract birds from the jungle to their tree. Use the insect tokens as lures. Once a bird is in your tree, take a 'photo' by using the bird cards. After taking photos, publish your findings using the publication cards. Keep track of your citation points on the scorepad. As the game progresses, compare your points with other players. The one with the most points at the end wins. Remember, this game is for players aged 13 and above. Make sure to handle the cards and tokens carefully to avoid damage. When you're done playing, store the game in a dry place to keep all the components in good condition.
